He told a good story and she liked stories.
One of the first things you will hear, when you are dating someone, is a backstory.
It holds all the context for a relational track record.
It often sounds like, my ex didn’t appreciate me, cheated, or was crazy dialogue.
It’s the tale as old as time yet here we are talking the same stories.
Why do we engage in this fallacy?
Perhaps, we believe because the same things have happened to us.
It sounds oddly familiar and not unusual to feel resonance.
What we fail to recognize is that it’s likely the same guy with these stories!
He starts out charming, shy and attentive.
He’s the perfect guy, he just hasn’t been appreciated by the right woman.
Does this sound familiar?
This is what the story eludes to and it makes sense because look how sweet he is.
Women are accustomed to being pursued by the loudest male in the room.
Fluffing his feathers and doing a dance.
We know it’s a rouge and we either play along and indulge or we reject.
However, there is another type of pursuit.
It’s the guy who has learned the art of adaptation.
Usually, lacking in self confidence, his success depends on how well he notices details and actively listens.
It’s like a dance of intimacy she has always longed for, it ignites and intrigues her.
Little does she know he is just mirroring her.
Leaving her blindsided as the real persona emerges.
It’s the classic tale of the basic guy, with no feathers, that leaves every woman questioning herself.
And unlike the demise of the more outwardly arrogant pursuer. Whom she willingly chooses despite the obvious projected outcome.
It’s the unexpected guy , who creates a false sense of trust, that gets by the preveberal radar.
It’s the one with the story.

what’s your story?
